Remove annoying toolbars and other hidden crap software from your web browser.
Toolbar Terminator has the main and absolute purpose of removing unwanted toolbars from your browser.
The tool is shareware and there is a free version you can try. However, it requires you to provide a valid email to receive an activation key. It can be set to start automatically with the system and run a frequent scan to detect intruding toolbars. In addition, on-demand scans are also available. The results are almost instantaneous, and they show the name of the toolbar together with the browser it affects. Such popular browsers as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are supported. Then, you can pick the toolbars you want to get rid of and click on the Remove button. Luckily, the product can also kill other programs that protect a given toolbar from being deleted. Since there are toolbars that you would like to keep, it is good news that the program lets you add them to whitelist.
All in all, Toolbar Terminator is far from being what I would call a versatile program. It does but one thing; yet, it does it well. However, in my opinion, the product is overpriced. In fact, it should be absolutely free as there are various system optimizers that can do the same thing at no cost. Its trial version removes only two toolbars, cannot scan your system automatically and shows an irritating dialog whenever you close the program.
